High Point Condominiums, Fort Myers
‹ Back To BlogThe High Point Condominiums are located in the beautiful downtown district of Fort Myers, Florida. With a spectacular view from one of the top floors, our clients wanted the view to be as breathtaking looking in, as it was looking out. From the beginning stages of the project, our clients expressed their desires to make their “new” home very contemporary while incorporating several distinctive design aspects.
Before And After
The Kitchen
Before renovations, the kitchen was closed-in and felt very small; not at-all desirable to the homeowners who planned on using the area to entertain. To make the “heart of the home” a more inviting and open space, we began by eliminating the wall that separated the kitchen from the dining area. In addition to removing the wall, we altered the ceilings in, and around the kitchen to give the space a major architectural element. White cabinets and black countertops make up a majority of the kitchen while contrast was created by converting the two colors and instead used black cabinets and white countertops for the island. The backsplash is made up of a clear mosaic with mirror inserts. Stainless steel appliances and aluminum frames pulled the whole look together to create the modern kitchen the clients had dreamt of.
Living Room
In to the living room… From the beginning, the homeowners expressed their wish to have a unique entertainment center but with one small wall to work with, they didn’t think it would be possible… that’s where we came in. After incorporating a large TV and an electrical fireplace there wasn’t much space left for additional detail. We instead extended the detail from the wall in-to, and across the living room ceiling. With accent lighting bordering the new ceiling soffit and can-lights on both sides, we created the dramatic design the owners were searching for.
Office
Being a professional in the area, a custom office unit was very important to the homeowner. We began the office portion of the renovations by eliminating a second door that led into the guest bathroom. By closing off the door we were able to build a large, custom work station that would satisfy the client’s needs. Maintaining an open space and incorporating hidden storage was the goal in creating this home office. Large storage cabinets were installed on the left side of the office while the panoramic view of open waters remained on the right side.
Bedroom & Bathrooms
This complete home remodel also included a custom bed unit for the master bedroom, a redesign of the master bathroom, custom master bedroom closet systems, cabinetry in the laundry room, and renovations of the powder and guest bathrooms.
